Mālama Pono Health Services is blessed with a dedicated, long-serving and stable staff. In 2010, lead Prevention Specialist Jason Yaris celebrates 17th years with Mālama Pono this year-end and Case Manager Linda Arn celebrates 10 years.

  D.Q. Jackson RN, M.S. is executive director with multiple decades of community service to his credit. The executive director's duties include promotion of Malama Pono's mission, grant writing, management of staff and office and oversight of the state and federal contracts under which Malama Pono operates.

  Jason Yaris is our Prevention Department Lead. With 16 years experience in prevention education and 9 years experience counseling and testing, his impeccable record of confidentiality and client-centered approach nurtures awareness and accountability.

  Bianka Tasaka is our transgender/women's counselor. Bianka works to educate native Hawaiian, Asian and Pacific Islanders to stay healthy in order to keep our cultural commmunities strong and aware of HIV, HEP-C and STD issues.

  Andrew Preston  is an Outreach worker, HIV-tester and Counselor working to encourage people to respond in an informed way to the risk of HIV infection, and helping people to apply behavioral skills to prevent the transmission of HIV.

  Linda Arn is the lead case manager with a 36-year background in nursing and 8 years with Malama Pono providing direct services to clients including benefits counseling, medical case management, emergency financial services and linkage with other support agencies.

  Barbara Almeida is our accountant and office manager. She handles payroll, payables and receivables, monthly agency reporting as well as overseeing budget allocations of the organization's state and federal contracts.

  Faith Harding  Prevention Specialist/Coordinator of Development Faith has been with Malama Pono since Dec. 2007. In May of 2009, she received her training from HI Dept. of Health to be an HIV/Hepatitis Prevention Specialist. She is heading off to the Center for Disease Control's Institute for HIV Leadership Prevention starting in Jan. 2010. This will further her education and will help to put Malama Pono on the national map in the intergration of services.
