Education and Prevention
Mālama Pono provides a variety of specialized, culturally appropriate HIV Education Programs for the community. All of our Health Educators are trained and certified by the Department of Health. HIV Risk Reduction Literature and condoms are free and available by request. Our programs are based in trans-theoretical education and harm-reduction.

HIV Information Sessions


We provide one-hour and two-hour HIV information sessions. Whether basic or detailed, we share a broad open range of information tailored for your group. We request a minimum one-week notice.

Individual Counseling Sessions


Our counseling is client-centered and is tailored to those things you can do to keep yourself healthy and well

Outreach Programs


We do outreach to the highest risk populations, including women, transgender and men who have sex with men. We meet you in an environment that you feel most comfortable.

HIV and Hepatitis C Testing


We provide free, anonymous and confidential HIV and Hepatitis C antibody testing in a comfortable safe space at our offices or wherever you feel at ease. Results are ready in two weeks. We have assembled some informative Hepatitis information here.

STD, Hepatitis C Education and Referrals


Our HIV information sessions can include basic information and referrals on STDs and Hepatitis C.
